Abundant use of plastics in earth has been a big issue regarding protection of human environment for a while. Polystyrene is one of the most widely used plastic materials due to its low price and wide range of use. From industrial usages including protective packaging to household goods, for instance, disposable spoons or containers, polystyrene is being massively consumed by people from day to day. Thus, we aimed to study nanopolystyrene particles’ toxic effects to Caenorhabditis elegans, to which most of the people in these days also possibly and vastly be exposed. Nanopolystyrene particles with different sizes were exposed to C. elegans for 24 h.
