Bolasterone (7α,17α-dimethyl testosterone) is an anabolic steroid derived from testosterone with higher anabolic than androgenic properties and higher oral bioavailability. It started with the usage in veterinary medicine and it transitioned to human use as well, which is now banned in various sports disciplines. This study aims to investigate the metabolites of bolasterone (MW 316) through both in-vitro (rat liver microsome) and in-vivo (urine after oral administration to rats) experiments using GC-MS/MS. A total of 12 metabolites were found as 3 mono-hydroxylated (m1-m3 as M<SUP>+</SUP>=548 and MW 333), 7 di-hydroxylated (m4-m10 as M<SUP>+</SUP>=636 and MW348) ... 전체 초록 보기
