N-Nitrosamines (NAs) are groups of chemical compounds containing nitroso (N-NO) functional groups known to be highly carcinogenic to our health. In addition, secondary amines are important precursors of corresponding N-nitrosamines in the presence of nitrogen oxides or other nitrosating agents. Atmospheric secondary amines (SAs) contribute to the nucleation and initial growth of new particles as well as secondary organic aerosol formation in salt-producing acid-base reactions, influencing the radiative balance of the earth’s atmosphere. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the NAs and corresponding SAs in the atmosphere using gas chromatography coupled with electron capture detection (GC-ECD) after derivatization. The method employed liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) of the pentafluorobenzensulfonyl derivatives of the SAs under optimized conditions. The operation parameters included the reaction duration, and extracting solvent, which were optimized to be 40 ℃, 10 min, and methyltert-butyl ether (MTBE), respectively. NAs were derivatized as SAs after denitrosation with hydrobromic acid-acetic acid to produce the corresponding SAs. This study was performed to analyze the NAs and corresponding SAs in the atmosphere for the particle phase and the gaseous phase. In the particle phase, samples were collected on quartz filters by a cyclone sampler operated with a flow rate of 16.7 L/min; each sampling was lasted for 48 hours. In the gaseous ... 전체 초록 보기
