In liquid crystal display device, the alignment of the liquid crystal molecules plays the important role to characterize the image quality of LCD. The rubbing process of conventional technique has many problems for LCD such as generation of electrostatic charge and light leakage. On the other hand, the chemical method, photoalignment process, is a non-contact method that not only solves the problem of rubbing process, but also can has the effect of increasing yield and contrast ratio.
