This study is a case study of Engineering Service-Learning using a collective impact (CI) model in which Christian University is to be interested and engaged in realizing social values and solving community problems. After developing design thinking-based teaching learning procedures and engineering-based education programs, the educational effects, improvements and educational expansion were identified through surveys, interviews, and self-reporting reflection journals of S-L participants. As a result of the study, S-L students" willingness to participate in realizing social values and solving community problems, their ability to view social issues and their sense of social responsibility were enhanced. S-L beneficiary students and agency staffs showed high satisfaction with the engineering-based S-L program, and the recipient students" social value and interest in engineering skills rose statistically significantly. All participants had a positive image of collective impact that the community-university work together. We hope that the findings will serve as a practical guideline of S-L for engineering major professors, students, and community institute staffs.
