In order to present a design for the safety of living in public spaces of public rental housing, this study is aimed at experts who have experience in research related to apartment planning and residential welfare, and architectural design experience. It is intended to analyze the importance of physical environmental factors for each public space and space to be considered first among the physical environmental factors. As for the research method, the Delphi technique was conducted a total of two times, and the priorities of the physical environmental factors were identified through AHP analysis. In most public spaces, safety appeared as an important architectural planning concept. The priorities of physical environmental factors appeared in the order of lighting, color, finishing materials, and landscaping. The priorities of researchers and public officials were lighting, color, finishing materials, and landscaping, while architects were finishing materials, colors, lighting, and landscape. The space where lighting and sign colors are the most important is the underground parking lot, the space where the finishing material is the most important is the children"s playground, and the space where the landscape is important is the pedestrian path.
