This study is purposed to create a database for analyzing the economic and social impacts of intellectual property and to apply it to various studies. This study includes the improvement of IPC-KSIC concordance table, and building linkage between intellectual property information and various economic and industrial information, and providing statistical information and index of intellectual property related topics with high analytical demand. In this study, we attempted two statistical analyzes using intellectual property linkage data. One is the analysis of industry and technology coherence analysis of intellectual property information and the distribution of intellectual property rating class by industry. Next, we attempted an empirical analysis of the economic effects of intellectual property. In the first subject, we updated the linkage database linking patent information and government R&D patent achievement, and established a linkage database of patent ? patent grade linking KIPA SMART3 patent rating information. We have defined the relative proportion of government R&D patent performance and private R&D patent performance as an indicator of industrial consistency of R&D patent achievement, and derived from the time analysis that government R&D plays a role in leading private R&D in specific industries. In addition, the result of comparing the distribution of patent performance by industry shows that the rating of the private R&D patent performance is relatively higher than that of the government R&D, and the government R&D patent performance is centered on the intermediate grade. The results of the analysis show that government R&D plays a role of driving private R&D, and large companies have a lot of superior patents in many areas. The second theme is empirical analysis of the effect of patent rights on economic growth by industry using growth model. By using the KIIP IPC-KSIC concordance table, statistics on the number of patent applications, number of registrations, and number of effective patents by industry by year were created and linked with manufacturing statistics from 2007 to 2015. We conducted a panel analysis with sales and value added as independent variables and capital, labor, and patents as dependent variables. The results of the analysis showed that patent rights had a strong influence on factor productivity. Although the analysis was conducted with a simple model due to a short time series and a lack of various information, it is considered that various analysis will be possible if the data are extended and the model is elaborately designed
