원료 잎담배를 가해하는 저장해충의 하나인 다색알락명나방(Ephestia elutella H.)에 기생하여 개체군밀도에 영향하는 보리나방살이고치벌(Bracon hebetor S.)은 저장창고에서 4월 초순에 처음 발생하였다. 저장창고에서의 발생최성기는 년 2회를 가지며 그 시기는 5월 중순과 9월 중, 하순경이었다. 보리나방살이고치벌의 숙주에 따른 생물학적 특성을 보면 숙주당 산란수는 3.5$\pm$0.53~12.6$\pm$2.33개이었고 숙주 한 개체에서 우화되는 성충수는 한점쌀명나방(Paralipsa gularis Z.)에서 4.43$\pm$1.67마리로 가장 많았다. 우화된 기생봉들 중 61.9~63.6%가 수컷이었으며 숙주간 우점율에서는 차이가 크지 않았다.
