살충제 저항성 및 감수성 시험은 1964년 전라북도 옥구군 개정면에서, 1965년 충청남도 아산군 신창면에서 실시하였다. 시험에 사용된 A. sinensis 모기는 전북 옥구에서 DDT에 579개체, Dieldrin에 1,048개체와 충남 아산에서 DDT에 809개체, Dieldrin에 623개체가 사용되었다. 시험방법은 세계보건기구 제13차 전문위원회에서 추천된 방법을 적용하였다. A. sinensis 성충의 살충제에 대한 저항성 및 감수성 시험 결과는 DDT에는 감수성이었으나Dieldrin에 대하여는 높은 저항성을 나타내었다.
