There are many industrial methods for the synthesis of methyl acrylate. According to Goodrich's patent, acrylamide sulfate is obtained by synthesis. Then, on it's esterification the injecting condition of methanol is investigated and the several inhibitors are used. And methyl acrylate in condensed distillate is separated by extraction. Consequently, it is better that reaction time is 4 hr at 140°C, and the yield is increased with amount of methanol. Ferrous sulfate is superior to the Goodrich's hydroquinone as an inhibitor, and water is suitable as the other component of extraction.
