Busan Metropolitan City is one of the core strategic industries among the top 10 strategic industries, combining tourism and convention industries to foster the city as an international tourism and convention center. In addition, Busan Metropolitan City is believed to have a large impact on the tourism and MICE industry, which creates value-added by providing goods and services to tourists and attracting events such as exhibitions, fairs and international conferences. And unfortunately, the damage caused by Corona 19 is inevitable.
Therefore, the purpose of this research is to propose future development plans through academic and practical application of the tourism and MICE industries in Busan by suggesting measures for the normalization of tourism and MICE industries in the future. In addition, if we look at the trend of diseases such as SARS, MERS, and corona19, it is believed to occur after 8 to 10 years, and we want to provide strategies and ways to cope with diseases for the industry in the future. In particular, for the tourism and MICE industries of Busan Metropolitan City, we would like to provide suggestions on how the state, local communities, citizens, related agencies, and businesses can respond and overcome this pandemic.
