This article is a study on Hannah Arendt’s theoretical encounter with Jew-related political issues. Arendt did not give nor take strong influence with regard to Judaism. She harshly criticized Jewish people’s wrong approaches to antisemitism. While being critical to Hertzl’s Zionism, she learned about the historical role of the Jewish people from Lassare’s concept of the conscious pariah. Arendt’s critical encounter with Jew-related issues eventually drove her to establish a political thought on the basis of political judgment along with political awareness.
