The purpose of this study is to analyze the perceptions of urban residents in the metropolitan area about national park facilities as leisure and tourism destinations. To achieve the research objectives, literature review was conducted on leisure tourism, national parks, national park facilities, and importanceperformance analysis. Based on this objective, empirical analysis was conducted for urban residents in the metropolitan area who visited Bukhansan National Park. The analysis showed that the overall mean of importance was 3.87 points and the overall mean of satisfaction was 3.59 points, which is lower than the overall importance. In particular, in the case of toilets, the difference in importance ranking(1st) and satisfaction ranking (5th) for management status was large, and these results suggest that thorough management such as hygiene and prevention of toilets is more important in the COVID-19 situation. As a result of action grid analysis of satisfaction-importance, it was analyzed that the trails and toilet facilities needed continuous quantitative and qualitative maintenance. It was analyzed that the quality of the parking facilities needed to be maintained continuously, and that camps and shelters required no effort beyond the current level. In addition, it was found that the visitor center required continuous efforts to expand numbers. The result of this study is meaningful in that it provides basic data for re-establishment of management policy and business direction of national park facilities as a leisure tourism destination for urban residents in the recent COVID-19 situation.
