The purpose of this study is to review critically the revised draft of the written examination for the police officer who became a major concern of academics in 2018, and to propose a revised writing test subject with validity and reliability. First of all, we examined how the written examination subject changed based on the change of personnel policy and police policy of past government. In addition, the background of the discussion on the revision of the course, the progress of the course, and the process of collecting opinions on the reform of the course were also recorded. The examination of the revised draft of the written test subject presented by the National Police Agency was divided into the examination of the candidates for the police lieutenant, the recruitment of general police officers, and the recruitment of police administration career competitors. In addition, the Constitutional Law, which was the core of the controversy, can be achieved in different ways, that the effectiveness of the course has not been scientifically verified, and that it has had a negative effect on the curriculum of the university related departments. And the uncritical acceptance of the police's recommendation by the police reform committee. The discussions on reforming the examination course for police officers are meaningful achievements in that they have undergone a series of public discussions. However, in the absence of sufficient preliminary discussions on the value of police officers or public officials, it is worried that this revision plan will become another deterioration due to the acceptance of uncritical recommendation.
