The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of social capital and self - efficacy on the depression of the elderly. This study used 497 data from the self-investigation questionnaire for the elderly living in k city as the final analysis data. As a result, The social capital and self - efficacy of the elderly showed a negative correlation with depression. The results of the regression analysis of social capital and self-efficacy of the elderly on the depression showed that the relationship between self-efficacy and self-efficacy (β = .130, p <.05) (P <.001), self-esteem (β = .149, p <.01) and social efficacy (β = .121, p <.05) were found to have an influence on depression. When the standardized regression coefficient is examined, the explanatory variable is 12.4% (F = 39.102, p <.001). These results the acceptance of the elderly self - efficacy was found to have a great influence on depression. Therefore, it is necessary to find ways to improve the sense of self - acceptance of the elderly.
