Virtual dance and its applicability have been discussed in this study. For this purpose,the concept of virtuality and virtual dance were discussed at first. And then, virtual dancecompanies, Ballet Pixel and La Performance, working in the Second Life were analyzed byinvestigating their activities and appreciating the contents of virtual dance works. Based onthese results, the applicability of virtual dance were discussed. As virtual dance companieshave the advantage of creating dance contents compared to real dance companies, they canact as the efficient contents providers if the two sides would cooperate.
