This study reviews many provisions relating to nuclear waste policy. On 1980-2000's many of acts involved such provisions already have established in Japan and United States of America. For example, the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 is the one to provide for the development of repositories for the disposal of high-level radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel, to establish a program of research, development, and demonstration regarding the disposal of high-level radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel, and for other purpose. And Low-Level Radioactive Waste Policy Act of 1985 is the one to improve procedure for the establishment and operation of regional disposal facilities for low-level radioactive waste.
