“Haryeong” was bred through the potato breeding program at the National Institute of Highland Agriculture (NIHA). Itin1996. It has a round, smooth, light yelow-skined tuber characteristics and high dry mater content. It showed high resistance tolate blight (Phytophthora infestans) and leaf roll virus (PLRV), and also moderate resistance to PVY and common scab. Accordingeblight infection rates 2.3% and 75.5 of AUDPC. Its mean tuber yield from the trial was 77% higher than that of “Superior”. Itsmean tuber yield from the regional yield trials at 5 locations during 3 years was 40 ton/ha, and 6% higher than that of “Superior”.Its mean dry matter content at all locations was also higher than that of “Superior”. Its texture of steamed potatoes is very mealy
