This study was caried out to obtain basic information of Plasmodiophora brasicae in highland and selection of Chi-nese cabbage cultivars resistant to clubroot disease. According to the disease index(10% cut-off), physiological definitions of Plas-modiophora brasicae collected from Jeongsun, Taebaek, Hoenggye, Anheung, Bangrim, and Samchuck in Chinese cabbagecultivated areas were ECD16/14/13, ECD16/1/0, ECD16/14/12, ECD16/23/0, ECD16/7/5, and ECD16/3/10, respectively. An evaluation of 301crucifier cultivars resistant to Plasmodiophora brassicae in highland was conducted at the infested field. Twelve cultivars releasedby sed companies resistance to this disease proved to be resistant two both in the infested field contaminated with Plasmodiophorabrassicae and seedling test in a rain-shelter house environment, using isolates colected from 6 above mentioned areas. But onlythre cultivars, CH211, CR Qingdao 65, and Qingdao 70, were highly resistant to al of the six diferent physiological isolates ofPlasmodiophora brassicae.
