This study aims to look into the perception of on-the-spot reporters toward their news sources. For this purpose, we performed investigation on political reporters employing Q methodology as a guide to subjectivity measurement. Our examination revealed that the reporters can be classified into three groups, which we named Contextualizer, Source-Attached, and Functional Criticizer, respectively. Although, understandingly, all of the three characteristics can be seen within each of the political reporters, the grouping has been done by the primarily-surfaced perception type. Our analysis tells the reporters in the second or the third group will probably move to the first one with time of career. However regardless of career propagation the cases of reporters to remain in the initial group by their personal taste cannot obviously be dismissed.
