This study aims to contribute to ‘construction of global luxury city' which Sejong city seeks for,by applying a geomactic theory to development of ‘Sejong Special Self-Governing City' and urbanplanning. To be specific, this study is focused on advancing a geomantic suggestion to be usedfor urban development of Sejong Special Self-Governing City in the future, by verifying existingcities and structures, based on the verification of the geomantic theory. The result of geomanticanalysis of ‘Sejong Special Self-Governing City' showed that it is formed with a gentle surface(面),overall through an encounter between Yongmaek(mountain range, 龍脈) at a long distance(千里)and Geum river, but the entire force of Yong(龍) isn't strong, and there is a need to reinforceNaesoogoo(internal water entrance, 內水口), although water energy(水勢) is in a goodcircumstance being surrounded by all the rivers nearby. Based on this study result, this studysuggested geomantic supplementation methods as follows. First, there is a need to first secure theeast-west water, or east-west road, when planning rivers and roads. Second, for remedyingNaesoogoo, it is needed to switch Naedangsoo of ‘Sejoing Special Self-Governing City' intoYeoksoo(逆水) and east-west water. Third, constructing high-rise buildings should be controlled,because the mountains around are not high
