This study uses positive analysis to examine how satisfaction with local festival evaluation attributes differs by visitors (local residents, local tourists, and foreigners) and affects the holding of festivals implications from these issues are then provided. The researcher conducted a survey on visitors to the 19th Gwangju World Kimchi Culture Festival. A total of 472 samples were utilized for factor analysis, variance analysis, and multiple regression analysis. According to the result, satisfaction with specific festival attributes, it was the highest among foreigners and the lowest amomg local tourists With regard to the relationship between satisfaction with evaluation attributes and effect on the decision to hold the festival, the factor of satisfaction with evaluation attributes affected evaluation attributes in general. In particular, activities and the food during the event had economic effects. Further, results show that, as the Gwangju World Kimchi Culture Festival is a fascinating tourism product to foreigners, utmost effort must be undertaken to publicize it to foreigners. As for local tourists showing low satisfaction, efforts must be made to develop new programs. Regarding the measures to maximize the effect of holding the festival, the organizers must fully capitalize on the theme of the festival, that is kimchi. Various kinds of dishes and souvenirs made from kimchi must be exhibited. Moreover, organizers should plan areas where visitors can rest and play while the festival is held.
