Medical tourism industry is one of the most important future industry of Korea. It requires much effort to raise medical tourism's competitiveness in the world market.
This study starts with the fact that the medical tourism is convergent characteristic industry. Medical tourism industry has the character combined medical with tourism industry. Therefore, it is important to construct a cooperative network medical and tourism industry for success a medical tourism industry.
However, most of medical institutions in Korea carry forward a medical tourism without cooperation among tourism cooperations. As a result of survey, the level of cooperative network among medical institutions and tourism cooperations was low. Especially, the level of cooperation network of small and medium hospitals in local area was lower than general hospitals' in capital area.
This paper suggests to strength the cooperation network among medical institutions and tourism cooperations provide education as like familiarization tour and tax support system especially small and medium hospitals in local area.
