현재 국내의 많은 한국어 교육기관에서는 학습자의 요구나 특성에 따라 다양한 한국어 교육을 실시하고 있다. 특히, 하계나 동계 방학을 이용하여 외국인 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 다양한 단기 한국어교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 그런데 단기 한국어교육이 보다 효율적으로 운영되기 위해서는 한국어 학습 목적, 학습 동기, 교포 대 비 교포, 학습자의 거주 지역, 학습자의 연령, 교육 기간, 학습 지역 등 다양한 변인을 고려한 맞춤형 교육과정이 마련되고 이에 따른 프로그램이 운영되어야 한다. 이 연구는 러시아, 특히 연해주 지역에 거주하면서 한국어교육 또는 한국학을 전공하는 학생들을 대상으로 단기 한국어교육과정을 운영하면서 나타난 특성과 설문조사 결과를 분석하였다. 이 연수에 참가한 학생들은 담화 능력 신장 중심의 교육 프로그램과 지역적 특성을 고려한 분단문화 체험, 자연 환경 체험, 전통 문화와 현대 문화 프로그램 운영에 높은 만족도를 나타내고 있다. 이를 바탕으로 효과적인 한국어 단기 연수를 위해 제언하였다. 첫째, 한국어 단기 연수생에 대한 정보를 정확히 아는 것이 중요하다. 둘째, 한국어 단기 연수생에 대한 요구 분석이 필요하다. 셋째, 집중화된 교육 프로그램이 필요하다. 넷째, 교육기관의 교수법 이론이 분명하게 제시되어야 한다. 다섯째, 교육기관의 지역적 특성과 특화된 교육프로그램이 제시되어야 한다.

Currently, a lot of Korean language education institutes offers the various kinds of Korean language courses depending on the demands and features of learners. Especially, they are conducting the various short term Korean language education programs for foreigners in summer and winter vacations. But, to be effective short term Korean language education for the foreign students, the course shall be conducted considering the purpose, and goal of learning Korean of students, ethnic Koreans and non-ethnic Koreans, locations of residence of the students, age of students, education period, and location of education center and others. In addition each Korean education center shall offer the differentiated education course which are proper for the centers. This study focused on the characteristics found out by operating the short term Korean language courses for the students majoring in Korean Education and Korean Study and residing in Primorsky Province, Russia and the results of questionnaires obtained from them. Then, the short term Korean language training courses are proposed which is proper for the learners considering their characteristics and demands. The students who participated in the training courses showed high degree of satisfactions over the education programs which were designed to grow the student's conversational capacity and the courses on Korea's division into North and South Koreas, the Korea's natural environment, traditional cultures and modern cultural programs designed to consider the characteristics of the location of the education centers. Based on these results, in Section 5, several proposals are suggested for the effective short term Korean language training courses. First, it is important to understand the students of the short term Korean language training courses. Second, the demand from the students is to be analyzed. Third, the theory of the teaching method for the students shall be clearly suggested. Fourth, regional features of the education center and specialized training program shall be clearly suggested. This study is designed to make the foundation for preparing the effective short term Korean language training programs. It is desirable that in the future, more detailed education courses are prepared and the textbooks are made, thus giving more consideration to the characteristics, demands and level of the learners based on these discussion.
