The purpose of this study is to maximize the effectiveness of a native teacher in Co-teaching. This research uses 5 questions on 6 answer scale and two open-ended questions. The survey questionnaire results were used to gain a deeper understanding about the students and parents perspective in the Native-Korean Co-teaching English classroom. This research sought to answer the following questions: 1) What kind of language skill is mostly improved from Co-teaching? 2) What is the students' perception about Co-teaching? 3) What is the parents' perception about Co-teaching?A total of 244 schools (138 elementary, 85 middle, 21 high schools) or 7,320 number of students and 7,320 number of parents were selected as participants for this study. The time of data collection was from September to December 2009. The results from the survey questionnaires indicated that students and parents recognized the benefits and approved of having a native English teacher in their classroom, though the degree of positivity varied among students and parents. Students are concerned with pronunciation correction and fun activities while the parents are concerned with their students' confidence in English and interesting class. Parents' and students' perception of difficulties were centered around three main areas: teacher-related factors, language learning content factors, and other factors. These results imply the importance of the teacher's role, meaningful and appropriate class materials, and class atmosphere for students' successful language learning. To reduce student difficulties, teachers can consider and apply some suggestions made in this study based on the survey results.
