The purpose of study is the discussion about the musics in the after-school musical jump ropeprogram. The jump rope exercise only discussed in the area of physical education has spread the musicaljump rope exercise, its characteristics are considered through reference research. This study has beeninvestigated and interviewed with six teachers performing in the after-school program in G MetropolitanCity. The subject of experiment was a teacher in elementary and middle school, instructing the musicaljump rope program as an extra-curricular activity. With the experiment, it was collected and analyzed themusical jump rope teaching plans. It is especially looked into the musics utilized in the musical jump ropecentered on basic factors. The findings are that the musical jump rope teaching plan did not include thecontents about the musics concretely, but the used musics were mostly melodies familiar to students suchas children's song, Korean Folk Song and K-Pop. The phenomenon lead to the conclusion that teachersselected the short and easy songs in order to teach them with the action types of jump rope repeatedly. Besides, It could be found that the musics were the medium making the existing jump rope excited andenjoyable due to the trend of many majors. To become meaningful materials and medium in the spots ofeducation, The educational lyrics and their grounds should be added to the musics utilized in the musicaljump rope. It will be expected that a succeeding study could deal with it.
