이 연구는 무용전공대학생의 성격특성과 자기관리 및 학과적응에 관련된 변인들을 분석하고 규명하는데 목적을 두고 진행되었다. 연구의 대상은 서울, 경기지역의 4년제 대학의 무용전공대학생을 조사 대상의 모집단으로 선정하였으며, 조사도구는 설문지를 이용하였으며 수집된 자료는 일원변량분석, 중다회귀분석, 중다회귀분석을 이용한 경로분석을 실시하였다. 이상의 과정을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 남자가 여자에 비해 신경증 성격특성이 높고 여자는 남자보다 친화성 특성이 높다. 또한 남자는 여자보다 훈련관리, 몸관리, 생활관리 수준이 높으며, 지도자적응과 생활적응이 높다. 4학년은 1,3학년보다 외향성 성격특성이 높고, 1,2,3학년보다 성실성 특성이 높다. 또한 4학년이 1,3학년 보다 고유행동관리 수준이 높고 1학년보다 몸관리, 생활관리 수준이 높으며 4학년이 1학년 보다 동료적응이 높고, 1,3학년보다 생활적응이 높다. 현대무용은 한국무용보다 고유행동관리가 높고, 발레보다 생활관리가 높다. 전공분야에 따른 학과적응은 현대무용은 한국무용보다 동료적응이 높고 한국무용과 발레보다 생활적응이 높다. 둘째, 성격특성이 자기관리에 미치는 영향을 살펴 본 결과 외향성, 친화성, 개방성, 성실성 특성이 높을수록 고유행동관리 수준이 높으며 신경증, 개방성, 성실성 특성이 높을수록 훈련관리 수준이 높다. 또한 친화성 특성이 높을수록 몸관리 수준이 낮고 개방성, 성실성 특성이 높을수록 몸 관리 수준이 높으며, 개방성 특성이 높을수록 생활관리 수준이 높다. 셋째, 성격특성이 학과적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴 본 결과 친화성, 개방성 특성이 높을수록 지도자 적응력이 높고 외향성, 친화성, 개방성, 성실성 특성이 높을수록 동료적응력이 높고 신경증 특성이 높으면 동료적은 낮아진다. 또한 개방성 특성이 높을수록 생활적응력이 높고, 외향성, 신경증, 친화성, 개방성 특성이 높을수록 학습적응력이 높다. 넷째, 무용전공대학생의 성격특성과 자기관리 및 학과적응 간에는 인과적 관계가 있다.
This study was pursued to analyse and investigate various variables related with personality traits, self-management, and department adjustment. 4-year university students majoring in dance in Seoul and Gyeonggi area were completely sampled by purposive sampling as population subjects of this study. Results from above process could be summarized as follows. First, in differences of personality traits, self-management and department adjustment by sex, male showed higher neurosis and affinity in personality traits, and showed higher training, body and life management, and higher instructor and life adjustment than female. In differences of personality traits, self-management and department adjustment by grade, 4th graders had higher extroversion personality traits than 2nd and 3rd, and had higher faithfulness than 1st, 2nd and 3rd. And, 4th graders had higher characteristic behavior management than 1st and 3rd, and 4th were higher in body and life management than 1st. In department adjustment, 4th graders had higher peer adjustment than 1st and 3rd, and had higher life adjustment than 3rd. In differences of personality traits, self-management and department adjustment by major, there was no significant result in personality traits, and modern dance had higher characteristic behavior management than korean dance, and had higher life management than ballet in self-management. In department adjustment, modern dance had higher peer and life adjustment than korean dance. Second, according to analysis on effects of personality traits on self-management, among characteristic behavior management, the sub-variable of self-management, as extroversion, affinity, openness and faithfulness got higher, characteristic behavior management was high, and as neurosis, openness, and faithfulness got higher, training management was high. And as affinity, openness and faithfulness got higher, life management was high. Third, according to analysis on effects of personality traits on department adjustment, as affinity and openness got higher, instructor adjustment was high, and as extroversion, neurosis, affinity, openness and faithfulness got higher, peer adjustment was high. And as openness got higher, life adjustment was high, and extroversion, neurosis, affinity and openness got higher, learning adjustment was high. Forth, personality traits, self-management and department adjustment of university students majoring in dance had casual relationship. That is, personality traits had direct effect on department adjustment, and had indirect significant effect on department adjustment through self-management. To summarise, openness among personality traits of university students majoring in dance was strong attribute with direct effect to department adjustment, and had powerful effect on instructor adjustment through training and body management, especially. That is, students with openness had high level training and body management, and through that, department adjustment ability became high. So, It was though that for better department adjustment of students majoring in dance, teaching for openness would require, and instruct strategies for better training and body management should be sought.
