This study is a study on the Eleven-headed Avalokitesvara statue excavated in Gyeongju Nangsan. Especially by examining the pictures of the “Chosun Artifacts Maps” V, we would like to study the Eleven-headed Avalokitesvara statue and the sitting Buddha statue on its left (part of the halo). This study first proved that the left sitting Buddha statue of the Eleven-headed Avalokitesvara confirmed in the “Chosun Artifacts Map” V pictures as to be the Bhaisaiyaguru Buddha statue in the National Central Museum. Second, we examined the timing of the excavation and the moving routes of the Eleven-headed Avalokitesvara statue and the Bhaisaiyaguru Buddha statue that are known to have been taken out or purchased during the Japanese invasion and also the reasons why they ended up in the Gyeongju National Museum and the National Central Museum. Finally, this study determined that the Bhaisaiyaguru Buddha statue and the Eleven-headed Avalokitesvara statue that were known to be designed as a part of the object of worship and the right side Buddhist saint statue in the three holy Buddha were not actually designed together in the beginning and they were also not designed to be the main and the right side statues. Such decisions were based on the analysis of the pictures of “Chosun Artifacts Maps” V and the comparison of the actual statues.
