This theme aims to review the elementary school text Sociology『6-2』chapter 2 according to the trends and characteristics of the Global History, and to offer some proposals. I have some results in this theme as follows. Firstly, the global history is one of the new world history. It is a new field of history studies in this age. The global history pursuits the world history of diffuse, network, experience, environment(nature), and Big History. It also stresses the history of cultural negotiation, cultural diversities, and comparative studies. The global history must intend to remove the focus of the nationalism and self-states, and intend to examine the vast majority of history and all events in the world from Big Bang to the present times. The global history is very important in terms of cultural diversity and the education aim of the subject of elementary social studies. Secondly, after examining, I have pointed the errors in the text『Sociology 6-2』and proposed some improvements. Also, according to the method of global history studies, I suggest that the text『Sociology 6-2』chapter 2 is divided into Afro-Eurasia, America, and Australia instead of the southern hemisphere and the northern hemisphere. Thirdly, we should choice the events and topics rather than chronological approach, and comparative approaches should be considered. These are cultivating students’ historical thinking, and the ways to overcome the complaints of teaching and learning from the progress of classwork. We also should consider the project teaching in text『Sociology 6-2』chapter 2(especially unit 4) and multicultural education. Lastly, by way of the method of the global history, we must aim to understand the various world and culture. And I have stressed cultural diversity and cultural exchange. So, I hope that a true world history education take place and foster true democratic, and global citizens in the elementary school.
