Fashion is a representative art, which the most expresses influences of phenomena, values and aesthetic senses of the times. As a flow of fashion is directed to a total fashion, hair styles and accessories are considered importantly in expression of fashion, and so, a harmony between hair styles and fashion are attempted in various ways. Development of science and technology in the 21st century exerts an influence even on fashion to thereby produce a futurism fashion, a space age fashion, a kinetic fashion, a cyber fashion, a techno cyber fashion, and so on, and it has a great effect upon expression of hair styles. Especially, the futurism fashion is expressed by geometrical forms and high-tech materials, and brings an image of future-oriented fashion in relief through an experimental expression using materials, to which highly scientific technology is introduced. A flutter and uncertainty of the future make people have a retro tendency and take an interest in Oriental cultures, which attach great importance to the world of spirit, and so, it produce the ethnic style. In addition, characteristics of hair styles are expressed by a techno cyber image, new materials besides metallic materials, an achromatic color or glowing primary colors, abstract or geometric patterns, and so on, and produce original and unique hair styles, which are ahead of general styles, or hair styles, which disregard popularity and strongly show experimental elements. Furthermore, the ethnic hair styles and accessories are exotically expressed by traditional and racial characteristics of Orientalism using up-style hair, braids, beads, feathers, and so on. As mentioned above, fashion trends and expressions of hair styles and accessories are closely connected with one another. Nowadays, even in the situation that Orientalism fashion and futurism fashion through the ethnic style, Korean elements are very unsatisfactory in the global market. So, developments and studies on historicity and racial characteristics are needed.
