Learning complicated and complex Czech syntactic rules presents one of the most serious problems and greatest challenges for Korean students when they start to acquire a language so completely different as Czech is from Korean. Korean students learning Czech develop a special language on their own which represents a transitional level between the stage of no knowledge and the stage of highly advanced knowledge of Czech, referred to as Korean-Czech interlanguage. This is gradually developing system of the language of Korean students which has its own set of rules. Naturally, a series of errors occur in any kind of interlanguage and the most common source of the errors appears to be attributed either to the mother tongue or to some other foreign language a learner had learned. For Korean students, the typical error source is Korean in the former case and English in the latter case. This paper considers the interference of Korean syntax in constructing Czech sentences. To identify this interference, authentic utterances of Korean students from Czech grammar classes (esp. for beginners and intermediate levels) at HUFS are used and 6 types of the most common errors are analyzed in this paper. The interference of Korean-Czech interlanguage is assumed to be resulted by the fact that Korean students learn the system (isolated knowledge of langue), but they lack experience and practice in speech (parole).
