The purpose of this study is to analyze the examination items for the Secondary School English Teachers' Employment Examination conducted in 2012. To achieve this purpose, this study analyzed the questions of examination in terms of types of item, pedagogical content knowledge, and corpus analysis. The result of this study is summarized as follows. First, there was more focus on the practice than the theory in English Education area. Second, in terms of pedagogical content knowledge, there was no item on the knowledge of social context and students. It is suggested that the context and students' characteristics can be presented in the items. Finally, the quantity of the items and TTR (Type-Token-Relation) has increased. The Secondary School English Teachers' Employment Examination is going to be newly formed again. The result of this study can be used to implement the next system of the Teachers' Examination.
