This dissertation looks at Chinese Linguists' recognition of Hangul, based on the explanation given in the Chinese Linguist introductory books and introductory Comparative Written Linguistics books. Whereas the "language" is supposed to be the main topic in the introductory linguist books, in fact, there is little to no message related to the "language". Even in that little part of the book about the Korean language, it is only stressing the relationship and the effect of the "Chinese Character" on the Korean language. “Chinese Character center theory" is still prevalent in the Comparative Written Linguistics books. It was written in a more professional and detailed way. There are four parts in the book that explain Korean language in the Chinese linguist books and the comparative phonography books: "Korean's literary lifestyle before the development of Hangul'; 'Theory of origin of Hangul and the background information related to the Hangul creation'; 'Characteristics of Hangul' and 'dissemination of Hangul'. There was common recognition of Hangul in the Chinese literacy books. (1)Hangul was mutually made between King Sea-Jong and scholars of the Hall of Worthies or Jiphyeonjeon. (2) The Korean alphabet system was affected by Chinese phonology. (3)Hangul is a "kind of system of Chinese characters", which was made by the Chinese character form. (4)Hangul is not only an alphabetic system, but also a syllabic writing system. (5)The combination of the square form and the syllabic letter was mainly influenced by the Chinese letter. (6)After the creation of Hangul, the Chinese letter system was used for a long time, and also a mix of Korean and Chinese letters was prevalently used. Thus, Chinese linguistics has a "biased" view of Hangul, and this view of Hangul significantly influenced the Chinese recognition of Hangul. Therefore, there are many efforts needed in order to establish correct recognition of Hangul for Chinese society.
