It's true that Central Asia have the important position to develop New Asia Initiative. Especially Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have the strategic partnership with Korea. Actually two countries are the best friendly states among CIS, because Korean companies have pushed into their market and made a great contribution towards economic development in these country after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Now Central Asian States support our policy on reunification of North and South, because these countries are the pro-Korea state. Most important of all, there is only North Korea Embassy in Uzbekistan with the exception of Russia among 15 former republics of the USSR.
Now we have to understand that US, China, and Russia as high-level states can't play a role to solve the conflict structure of the region in Central Asia because of representative partnership with Central Asian States. In this point we must cognize Middle Power as communicator to solve problems in Central Asia. For examples, Kazakhstan can't solve the conflict with Uzbekistan by bilateral relations and high-level states haven't exerted great efforts to improve the relationship between two states. Middle Power can play a role to solve the regional problems and discuss with high-level states. Now we consider Korea as Middle Power in Central Asia, because our government has pushed New Asia Initiative and Central Asia is suitable region to achieve it.
