The purpose of this article is to analyze the contents of the Korean independence movement in Russia, which were described in the high school textbooks Korean History. Textbooks Korean History published in Korea are six species. The contents of the Korean independence movement in Russia contained here can be classified as follows: Ŭbyoung in Maritime Province, National movement in the 1910s, 3・1 movement, Korea National Assembly and coalition movement of provisional governments, armed struggles, etc. After the Russo-Japanese War, many Korean independent activists fled to the Russian Maritime Provinces. From this time until the 1920s it was the place where fierce independence movement developed the Russian Maritime Provinces and Kando in China. However under the Cold War, the Russian Maritime Provinces studies of the independence movement in Russia did not progress as compared to Kando. In recently ears, as new research is done, the contents of the independence movement in Russia in the textbooks began to be described. In the current high school textbooks Korean history , there are many aspects of the narrative about the contents of the Korean independence movement in Russia: well-described, less-described and improperly-described. Above all, there are very small described compared to the activities. This is, of course, is not only the fault of the textbook authors, because by far had not done enough research on this topic. In order to describe the accurate and correct historical facts in the in the high school textbooks Korean History, first and foremost will be preceded by in-depth research on the subject of professional researchers. And the textbook authors must be fully aware of researches on the subject, then shall describe the textbooks. If done, I think students would be able to understand historical facts exactly and furthermore in still a proper sense of history
