Future wireless personal communication systems will have the satellites as an important part of networks. Therefore, the more robust satellite link connection is necessary to support reliable data transfer. In this paper, we show how the traditional Go-back-N ARQ technique can be improved for the satellite communications by using reflected signals from the satellites. In the proposed scheme, we utilize the reflected signal from the satellite in order to investigate whether the transmitting frame experience errors or not and the identification of the next arrived frame is followed. These things consequently improve the performance of the link control scheme like ARQ. Through numerical and simulation results, we show that those ARQ can be improved when the reflected signal is used.
