In this paper, we propose an e cient regularization technique(The Method of Regularized Ratios) for the reconstruction of the shapeof a rigid elastic scatterer from far eld measurements. The approachused is based on the factorization method and creates via Picard's conditionratios, baptized Regularized Ratios, that serve to e ectively removeunwanted singular values that may lead to poor reconstructions. This isachieved through the use of a sophisticated algorithm that progressivelyadjusts an initially set moderate tolerance. In comparison with the well establishedTikhonov-Morozov regularization techniques our new algorithmappears to be more computationally e cient as it doesn't require computationof the regularization parameter for each point in the grid.
