his paper constructs an input-output table of 31 sectors of 2010 Busan regional economyand studies the economic impacts of Busan shipping and port logistic industry on theregional economy. The major results indicate that in terms of the value of production, valueadded and the number of employees, Busan shipping and port logistic industry accounts forabout 21%, 23%, and 27% of the nation-wide shipping and port logistic industry,respectively. Moreover, the economic impacts of Busan shipping and port logistic industry onthe regional economy are estimated to be an increase of about 14.5~15.5 billion dollars inthe regional production, an increase of about 4.5 billion dollars in the regional value addedand an increase of about 80,000 jobs in the regional labor market.
