The purpose of the reconsideration on youth researches is to highlight the necessity for various adolescent studies associated with youth. By far, youth-related researches have mainly focused on an extension of childhood psychological and emotional development of youth. However, the adolescent can be classified into childhood-adolescent, adolescent, and adolescent youth, respectively. Thus, an adolescence research should understand characteristics of each adolescent group in the development process. This study has investigated content and direction for future adolescent researches as follows.
First, we should support psycho-social interventions and developmental tasks across children (childhood-adolescent), adolescent, and youth (adolescence-youth, young adult). Second, in a stage of the transition to adulthood in the life course, we should study the basis for the economic, social, and spiritual self-realization and supportive welfare. Third, as an extension of adolescence, we should concern new direction and contents for the adolescence-youth while understanding their social status and role. Fourth, we should study on the marriage culture and additional researches which appear in the course of adolescence as well as the development of a series of meaning in the family of life.
As a result, this study concludes that we need more extensive studies to help the adolescence smoothly transit to the adulthood. These can be mainly related with the job formulation through occupations and the home with marriage.
