The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the triceps brachii muscle fascia relaxation treatment on the upper arm circumference. Thirty healthy women were enrolled into this study. We applied fascia relaxation treatment for twenty minutes four times a week for four weeks. After the triceps brachii muscle fascia relaxation treatment, upper arm circumference and thickness of subcutaneous fat of the upper arms showed a statistically significant reduction(p<.05). But the upper arm muscle circumference and the weight of skeletal muscle of the upper arm was not statistically significant (p>.05). Through these results, we confirmed that upper arm circumference and thickness of subcutaneous fat of the upper arm was reduced by the application of fascia relaxation treatment conducted with active movement and it is considered that the application of fascia relaxation treatment to triceps brachii muscle will be effective for treatment of obesity.
