The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing health promoting behavior among university Students. This study was a descriptive survey design using a convenient sampling method from one of the university in Busan. Total sample of 200 students was obtained from April 26, 2010 to June 30, 2010, of which 192 students completed the questionnaires used for the analysis. Two related factors were found to be significantly related to health promoting behavior: body image and exercise emotion, and these factors correctly predicted health promoting behavior in 26.7%. The findings of this study provide information about health promoting behavior in university students. Within the university community, nurses should focus on the promotion of health and factors influencing them to make young people do healthy choices.
