We consider c-sample nonparametric testing problem for umbrella alternatives on median ranked ordering-set samples (MROSS). We propose the test statistic U_MROSS using MROSS and investigate the asymptotic properties for the proposed test statistic. We obtain the asymptotic relative efficiency (ARE) of the proposed test statistic with respect to those on ranked set samples (RSS) and simple random samples (SRS), and compare the empirical powers of the proposed test statistic with those in RSS and SRS through the simulation study. The uniform, normal, double exponential, logistic and Cauchy distributions are considered as the underlying distributions. From the simulation results, we show that our proposed test statistic has the best power under the underlying distributions that we considered.
