In this paper, we consider two components system that the lifetimes of the components have independent exponential distributions. And we consider the Bayesian testing for the ratio of the failure rates in the system using Bayes factor. But the Bayes factor depend rather strongly on the prior distributions. Usually, statistical analysis is often required to appear objective. But, since noninformative priors are typically improper, the priors are only up to arbitrary constants which affect the values of Bayes factors. Hence, we compute the fractional Bayes factor proposed by O'Hagan(1995) to overcome this problem. So we suggest a Bayesian testing procedure for the ratio of the failure rate in two components system based on fractional Bayes factor. Finally, we give a numerical example to illustrate our procedure.
