This study conducted latent class analysis to identify clusters of stress types for senior students in high school using 2nd grade in middle school panel data retrieved from Korean youth panel survey (KYPS). One-way ANOVA was conducted then to verify the characteristics of the classified cluster types. As a result, 4 latent classes were confirmed; high-stress, low-stress, high-resilience, and low-resilience. Academic stress level was the highest among other stress factors in all clusters. Low-stress group showed the lowest stress level and the highest level of personal adaptation ability and social support. High-resilience and low-resilience groups have a same pattern in high parental, academic stress level and low friend stress level, but showed different patterns in appearance and economic stress levels. High-resilience group had a high ability of personal adaptation stood in contrast to low-resilience group. High-stress group showed the highest stress level in all areas and social support and personal adaptation ability were the lowest. It is meaningful that this study provided basic data that can accommodate in-depth understanding of the individual differences by categorizing stress types of seniors in high school and verifying characteristics of the groups.
