In this paper I intend to analyse the movement of Spanish adjunct predicate. In previous studies it has been discussed that the movement out of specifiers and adjuncts is disallowed according to CED(Condition on Extraction Domains) proposed by Huang(1982). But in Spanish it is observed that adjunct predicate can undergo wh-movement and elements of adjunct predicate can be extracted out of adjunct predicate. In this paper, I propose that the derivation in which adjunct predicate is merged with its subject and the spell-out domain defined in the course of derivation could explain peculiar properties of Spanish adjunct predicate. For this, I suggest an independent workspace for secondary predication composed of adjunct predicate and its subject and the movement of adjunct predicate is possible through an edge of PrP as phase defined after forming one syntactic object.
