The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of exercise intensity on agonist muscle activation, muscle fatigue, and muscular strength on the bench press. Seven healthy subjects were tested for their one RM strength on the supine bench press. Surface electrodes were attached on the belly of the pectoralis major. Normalized iEMG and MEF were collected and compared to three sites on the triceps brachii and measured iEMG and MEF according to the intensity resistance training loading method. The study found the following results: Based on our findings, the 5RM exercise showed the highest in iEMG on the multi-joint exercise. When the total volume of the exercise is determined, muscle fatigue is higher when the exercise is started from light to heavy load and difficult to perform exercise due to less muscular activation(∑iEMG). When a total volume of the exercise was not determined, muscular activation is higher when the exercise started from light to heavy load one was high in the muscle activity.
