Even though there was no problem in DCS Pro 14n of Kodak, the smearing problem has arisen for the recent DCS model made by Kodak. Therefore, by comparing the quality of pictures, we have closely investigated the reason why, only for the recent DCS model, taking picture under the fluorescent bulbs results in the smearing. In addition, we have observed where the color range of the smear part is, how much weighted this smearing part is when compared to the dominant colors, and what is the most problematic part. In addition to these results, we have compared the files of taken picture from the DCS model to those from other models in the similar class with Imatest, the digital image evaluation software. From the observation, we have concluded that the noise of white balance compensation leads to the inappropriate shading compensation in RGB color formation, and then we have studied how to realize the color and how to mitigate noise.
