Ink-jet printing had some weaknesses at productivity and cost. But many photographers use ink-jet printing. One of the reasons is that we can use a variety of media. ink-jet clear precoat allows to print on a fine art paper as well as cloth, glass and metallic surfaces. The purpose of this study is finding an efficient method that is process of applying ink-jet clear precoat. We compare colors and contrast among prints depending on coating method, coating capacity, the number of nested application and provide a experimental reference For this, We print color chart on same media applied in different ways, and compare color spaces, contrast and saturation. As a result, The optimal capacity of A4 size was about 20mL. If only once in the entire sheet can be coated uniformly, It can be a best result, but approximately four times that coating was able to get even and Consistent results. There are advantages and disadvantages of each tool. However, a sponge brush to be applied uniformly and relatively good results.
