Zone system is the one enabling to think in advance how the subject will be displayed, and enabling to rationally handle how it will be recorded, in the final printing process. That is to say, the system adopts relation module that brightness and exposure value of the subject correspond to densities reappeared in printing paper, with those values reflected. Control of film-developed amount accompanied in the application of this Zone System is essentially required. Increase of exposure adopted to make the more details of shadow parts stronger in taking a photographing of the subject with greater than normal contrast range has exposure of highlight range increased, too. Method taken to restrain density of highlight range from increasing is the decrease of development amount in contraction development. But, in contraction development had the errors of decreasing contrast of two realms. In this thesis, an investigation was carried out on highlight method that can display the details of all of the range without decreasing contrasts in shadow and highlight range, with respect to the subject with high contrast range. The process of duplicating negative film is not simple, but this method is the one enabling the acquisition of satisfactory printing result, in regard of subject requiring greater contraction development, compared to general contraction development such as N-1, or N-2
