In 21st century when culture is focused, the importance of visual culture art education is great. The visual culture can be the whole of things that we always encounter in daily life but they mainly couldn’t receive attention with school education in old times.
In other words, today is the period of popular culture dominated by majority of public, not the culture led by minority of elites. Almost popular culture assumes a visual culture aspect like television, movie, advertisement, etc. and it means that the importance of visual communication is greater than languages as a means expressing their own emotion or thought. Like that, while the influence of visual culture is higher in our life, right judgement and criticizing sense for that are necessary. In that sense, visual culture art education has to be started from the time of elementary school when their value was not established rightly yet. Recently, while the importance of photos is gradually increased by explosive demand of digital camera, many people realize photo education and request educational method. To learn photo occupying one part of visual culture area is to learn the foundation of visual communication. And the photo education can be a multilateral education which can cultivate observing skill, thinking skill, expressing skill, creativity, etc.
